Selam in Amharic, a language spoken in Ethiopia, means peace. Selam Skin is about finding what products bring balance and peace to the skin on your face and body. Additionally, it's been essential to me from the beginning to make products without harsh chemicals that may irritate the skin- something I value above all else due to my own experiences.

After nearly a decade of misdirection from estheticians and skin care experts I needed to start taking my skin into my own hands. It really became impossible to keep walking in circles and not getting better.

It took many years of buying everything and anything under the sun that could help my cystic acne, old acne scars, and constantly irritated skin for me to realize something had to change. I was tired of hiding my blemishes and never feeling my best.

Through years of trial and error I’ve found the perfect balance for my own skin and the skin of the people around me. My goal is to relieve anxiety through my products about what new blemishes you'll wake up to in the morning, no more stress about having to use multiple layers of make up to cover up, and to bring overall "Selam" to your skin!
